Dupree Chase

Dr. Tahira DuPree Chase has over 25 years of experience as an educator, author, leader, public speaker and full-time mom. She currently serves as Superintendent of Schools for the Greenburgh Central Seven district in Westchester County, New York for which she was nominated the Top 25 Superintendents to Watch National Award.

About Dr. Tahira DuPree Chase:

Dr. Chase holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications Arts from Norfolk State University, Norfolk, Virginia, Master of Arts in English Education and Master of Education with a specialization in School Administration and Supervision from City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center and Mercy College, New York, respectively. Dr. Chase earned a doctorate degree in Executive Leadership at St. John Fisher College, Rochester, New York in July of 2011. Her award-winning dissertation focused on instructional leadership styles that prove successful for struggling adolescent readers. Dr. Chase was selected to participate in the Women in Education Leadership Institute at Harvard University and is currently enrolled in the Diversity and Inclusion Certification Program at Cornell University.

She is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including Top 25 Superintendents to WatchNational Award, NAACP White Plains Chapter Image Award (Education Game Changer), Norfolk State University Distinguished Alumni Award, Educational Champion Award (WestCop, Inc.), Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated HBCU Outstanding Educator Award, Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated Stand on Her Shoulders Award, St. John Fisher College Scholarship Award, Distinguished Educator of Year, New York City District Nine Teacher of the Year, to name a few.
